Rose City Comic Con swag!
Got skindeepcomic (both Orientations and Exchanges) signed by Kory Bing plus some GRYPHON STICKERS (woohoo gryphguild check it out!) and dinosaur and not!dinosaur stickers. Definitely going to decorate some sketchbooks. (Some people put them on electronics. I get new electronics and say bye to the old ones. I keep sketchbooks forever.)
Got a big octopus sticker and anemone postcard by Erika Moen.
From Silver Sprocket, Nation of Amanda, I bought some great buttons — “I want all the cats to love me best”, “I just want to pet all of the dogs”, and “nap all day, sleep all night, party never”. I want the cats one as a shirt as well.
Two children’s books, “Letters of the West” and “Flowers by Number”, published by The Little Naturalist. They have gorgeous illustrations. A couple free postcards and some free buttons from the publishers (I love buttons). The buttons feature VULTURES! and a spotted owl. :D
And a sockdreams sticker. Because I love socks and I love our local sock store.
Maker: MagpieBones (Head), Skaros444 (wing base), Zhon (everything else?)
Been trying to spruce up an old lammergeier/hyena character of mine, Vultra, with some quick sketches. Top’s her old design, and the bottom’s a revision I’m considering.
"I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I’M DOING"
Last sketches of this lil fellow before going to bed. U.U

another gryphon design
paper textures: here, here, and here
I’m Tristan, a gryphon adventurer and self-appointed hero by trade. If you know any damsels or drakes in distress, I’m the gryphoness to call.
(I will get some better photos, in full garb and in better lighting. I was very tired by this point in the con! Tristan’s head, arms, and tail are by Wolfbird, and her footpaws are by Matrices!)
HOORAY! I finally got some amazing photos of Tierney in all her glory, thanks to my local friends! We spent a wonderful afternoon in the Arboretum on a warm day; not intolerable thanks to how light and maneuverable the costume is (PLUS I gave the EZCool neck cooling collar a go and it was wonderful)!
I didn’t include images of me with the kids, since I want to focus on only a small sampling of R’s frankly beautiful photos, but we were a hit and frequently paused in posing to attend to the many admirers. :) I hope to post a link to more of the day’s photos later!
Thanks to R Riley McCourt, Mare and Wylie for posing with me and helping me out so much, and of course Clockwork Creature Studios, Qarrezel, Kifu, and Mat and Velvet for their amazing work on bringing Tierney to life!
"Descending Ruby Drops"
Another wonderful fully artistic freedom gryphon, only caveat being include ‘magpie’ Gosh I loved painting this piece. He’s greener than your average ‘pie but I think he just has a more violent irridescence, and when the light is strong he simply glows!

more bear owls
based on my favorite owls <3
Tiny Griffin! The first in a mini series of mini mythological creatures.
Cute deer-birds by the artist Clovercoin of Deviantart.
This was the door sign for the GuildMeet! I also made stickers and magnets for the swag boxes for everyone who came. Scrub Jay/Cougar gryph. I had a huge amount of help on this, so I can’t really call it my art, it’s a group effort! From screaminggoatbarn, duel-styx, and nambroth, who in the end basically drew the entire body when I asked for redlining help, which I then badly eyeballed and copied. >_> So all remaining horridness is my own.
Pencil and watercolor with a bit of gouache.

Wanted to work on this some more, but am already cutting it quite close for today. Maybe later!
